Imagine two acres of a meticulously cultivated landscape with both modern and antique touches to enchant any type of guest. The 15th century villa lies in an impeccably maintained private property covering a total of 2,500 sq. m. at the foot of the Dolomites and has been run by the same Brondolini d’Adda family since its inception. Villa Ghislaine is a place for those who want complete luxury merging with secluded nature. Days spent lounging around the pool, visiting the local towns, sipping wine at sunset will decidedly create an unforgettable vacation with family and friends. Enjoy views of the Dolomites from a one-of-a-kind villa which astonishes with its elegance and attention to detail. The villa is right outside the delightful town of Cison di Valmarino with all necessary services as well as plenty of historical places to explore.

The villa is a noted landmark for the area which was home to Vivaldi and the artist Titian. The Cison Valley is an enogastronomic and natural paradise with delicious restaurants and wineries as well as numerous hiking and biking trails to wander. Take in the native plants and flowers, visit the castle, the Abbey of Follina or see the Palladian villas outside of the surrounding towns.

The property is about an hour from the cultural capital of Venice, with its canals, islands and unforgettable piazzas. The capital of the Veneto region, Venice is one of the most sought-after destinations in Europe. The well-maintained and preserved historical center is home to the famed San Marco Basilica and tower with ornate gold details and mosaics which is located in one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy. Take a gondola ride under the captivating Rialto Ponte in the Grande Canal which is both romantic and charming as are all the bridges and narrow streets of this artistic city. Not to miss is the island of Murano which is just a quick boat ride away. There you can find characteristic colourful buildings and the famous glasswork and museum.

Treviso is twenty km north of Venice and a little under an hour from the villa and is home to flower-adorned canals with buildings emerging directly from the water. The narrow streets are full of archways and 15th century architecture with colorful frescoes adorning the local houses.

For something for the wine-connoisseur’s palate, the Luca Ricci farm and winery in Collalto di Susegana is less than a twenty minute drive from the villa. Located on the acclaimed ”Strada del Vino Bianco” (the white wine road), this bucolic setting is perfect for a relaxing day in nature sipping a variety of famous wines of the region.

Villa Ghislaine is an oasis for a large family or small groups and it a perfect place for poolside get-togethers. The villa is 81 km from the Venice Marco Polo airport and the well-connected Venice train station and bus station are easily accessed in the center of the city. Venice is 91 km from the villa, Treviso is 61 km and the Luca Ricci winery in Callalto di Susegana is 15 km.

The Property. Villa Ghislaine is the epitome of luxury is an immense estate filled with impeccably decorated rooms with antiquities from across the centuries. This villa which is surrounded by gardens and nature was built in the 15th century by the noble Brandolini d’Adda family which can trace their origins from 5th century AD. The house is full of history, modernity and was also the set of the Marcello Mastroianni film Mogliamante. An hour’s drive from Padova, Treviso and Venice, the 2,500 sq. m. property complete with a sprawling 18 meter pool, 2 acre garden, former stables and silk granaries lies at the base of the Dolomites so skiing, biking and hiking are opportunities not to miss!

Enter into the high-ceilinged villa to the great hall decorated with swords, statues and other family antiques to find two fantastically spacious living rooms, two dining halls and a fully-equipped modern kitchen designed for exquisite meals prepared by the private chef. It even has a traditional Venetian fireplace and opens to the portico with views of the garden. Ascend the ornate double staircase to the top floor of the main building has a large living room with a cozy fireplace and a family room. The four bedrooms, two complete with frescoes each have a view of the gardens as well as private bathrooms. The other building dating back from the 15th century has four large bedrooms and three bathrooms looking on to the stables. Modernity meets magic with statues, artwork, clean lines and color.

The exquisitely kept garden and rose gardens leads to the large pool looking onto this bucolic property. This pool area is designed with architectural features for lounging, sunbathing and wonderful conversations in the breeze coming off of the ancient trees lining the property to inspire wonderful moments of relaxation. Villa Ghislaine can sleep up to 16 people and is perfect for any kind of occasion.

Retention time
