Borgo Trasimeno is just a few kilometres from Gubbio, a charming town built into the steep slopes of Mount Ingino, known for its rich history and culture. As you approach the town, you are greeted by the ruins of a Roman theatre, built in the 1st century. A stroll through its winding, steep streets leads to the breathtaking Piazza Grande, the town’s striking central square, home to the imposing 14th-century Palazzo dei Consoli. Gubbio’s cultural heritage is highlighted during La Festa dei Ceri, one of the oldest folklore festivals in Italy.

The property is a short distance from Perugia, Umbria's largest and most vibrant city. The Property
Surrounded by nature and immersed in a landscape of exceptional beauty, Borgo Trasimeno is the perfect retreat for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in the heart of Umbria, just a few kilometres from Tuscany. Built in the 14th century, this magnificent hamlet has been meticulously restored to the highest standard. Borgo Trasimeno can accommodate up to twenty-six guests (with space for an additional six), offering thirteen double bedrooms and thirteen bathrooms spread across five buildings.

Set within 6.5 acres of land, the property boasts a stunning pool (16 x 8 metres) and a spacious poolside area with comfortable sun loungers, deckchairs, and large parasols. Offering a peaceful atmosphere and spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside, the garden also features a tennis court, table tennis, a bocce court, and a generous barbecue area where guests can enjoy traditional Italian food and unforgettable sunsets together.

"I Cipressi," accessed via the hamlet’s courtyard, accommodates up to six guests (with space for two more). It has three bedrooms across two floors. On the first floor, there’s a sitting room with a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen with a table for twelve, and a bathroom with a shower. A two-sided fireplace divides the sitting room and kitchen. This floor also includes a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and private terrace. Upstairs, a twin and large double bedroom both have en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs.

"La Limonaia" is in a secluded spot. The bright living area has an open-plan dining and sitting room with a fireplace, a single sofa bed, armchairs, a small table, and a fully equipped kitchen with access to a spacious outdoor lounge. There is also a small bathroom. Large windows throughout the house provide garden views and a light, airy feel. This independent house accommodates two guests (with space for one more), offering a large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom featuring both a bathtub and shower.

With valley views, "Il Cottage" offers complete privacy. From the garden, guests enter a bright, fully-equipped kitchen, ideal for breakfast. Large windows provide garden views and a light, airy feel. This floor also includes a living room with a fireplace, a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (bathtub and shower), and a second double bedroom with an en-suite shower bathroom. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor, where a third double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (bathtub and shower) awaits.

Accessed from the garden, "Le Ginestre" accommodates up to eight guests (plus one more) with four bedrooms over three floors. The ground floor has a fully-equipped kitchen, an open-plan dining and sitting area with a fireplace, and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (bathtub and shower). A short flight of stairs leads to the first floor, where two double bedrooms share a bathroom (bathtub and shower). On the second floor, a double bedroom with a private bathroom (bathtub and shower) offers a cosy retreat.

Finally, accessed via the courtyard, "Gli Ulivi" accommodates up to four guests (plus two more) with two bedrooms over two floors. The ground floor includes a comfortable living room with a double sofa bed and fireplace, and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a large table for breakfast. A short flight of stairs leads to the first floor, which features a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom (bathtub and shower) and a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower bathroom.

The property's deconsecrated 12th-century chapel, with its high ceilings, frescoes, and central fireplace, has been converted into a unique meeting space. Guests enjoy a comfortable atmosphere, with books, guides, DVDs, rackets, a laptop, and a piano available.
