Immersed in the peaceful Umbrian countryside, this magnificent five-bedroom property is ideally located to explore the region’s cultural highlights and most spectacular natural wonders. With wonderful views of the surrounding greenery, this exclusive property is the perfect location for unforgettable day trips to the most beautiful towns in Umbria and provides a unique opportunity to admire its splendid landscapes while soaking up the region’s incredibly rich historical and cultural heritage.

The medieval, hilltop village of Monte Castello di Vibio lies 420 meters above sea and it is well worth going for a wander around the pretty streets in the historical center and stopping for a delicious cappuccino in the main piazza in front of the church. The village is most famous for its beautiful Teatro della Concordia, also known as the smallest theater in Italy and one of the smallest, historical theaters in the world. You will also find most of the basic shops and services that you might need during your stay here.

The timeless, medieval town of Todi is only just up the road and offers some amazing monuments and a cathedral. A collage of soft-stone houses, palazzi and belfries pasted to a hillside, Todi looks freshly minted for a fairy tale. Wandering its steep backstreets is like playing a game of medieval snakes and ladders. Todi seems to be unchanged since the 15th century and the central piazza is encircled by the cathedral, the Capitano Palazzo, the Priore Palazzo and the Popolo Palazzo.

If you are looking for another magnificent medieval hilltop town, then Orvieto is a great place to start. It is perhaps one of the most dramatic towns in Europe for its setting on a high, flat summit. It has remained more or less unchanged since the Middle Ages and boasts a spectacular Cathedral and secret labyrinth of 1200 underground tunnels. The tunnels were mainly used as secret escapes for the aristocratic homes during times of siege.

Villa Liberty is 52 km from Perugia-Umbria San Francesco d’Assisi International Airport, 173 km from Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and 205 km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci International Airport. Monte Castello di Vibio is 6 km from the property, Todi is 11 km, Orvieto is 34 km, Perugia is 50 km, Spoleto is 54 km, Assisi is 64 km, Spello is 69 km, Foligno is 76 km. Golf lovers can enjoy the Antognolla Golf Course, about 79 m from the property.

The Property. With 360-degree views across the surrounding countryside, Villa Liberty is gorgeous Umbrian farmhouse that has been exquisitely renovated and is the ideal place to enjoy a holiday in the company of family and friends. Offering a tranquil atmosphere and surrounded by greenery, the villa boasts a large pool, grass tennis courts and some gym equipment. Villa Liberty can accommodate up to eleven guests in five bedrooms (four double bedrooms and a triple bedroom) with bathroom spread over two floors.

The immaculate gardens that encircle the property offer plenty of space for just chilling out with a good book or taking a stroll. The heated pool is bound to be focal point for days spent at home and you will be able to go home with an Italian-style suntan if you put in enough time on the sun loungers around the pool. For the more energetic among you, the grass tennis courts are going to be big hit. There are also some gym equipment available and two outdoor showers for a quick rinse off before cocktail time.

There are various sitting rooms and all of the living and playtime accommodation is located on the ground floor. There is a cinema room and a billiard room for those occasional rainy days. The modern, open-plan kitchen overlooks the pool and boasts a central island, perfect for rustling up some local delicacies or why not get a private Chef in for the evening so you can kick back on the veranda with a glass of wine? The kitchen also has an enormous glass wall so you can look out over the gardens as you sip your morning cup of coffee.

There is a solid wood table in the dining room that easily seats twelve guests and you will be surrounded by striking, exposed stone walls and wooden beams to complete the country feel of stylish living. Otherwise, if you prefer to eat al fresco, there is plenty of space around the table on the veranda where you can soak up the sunshine or gaze out at the stars as you get to taste some delicious, home-cooked Umbrian fare. With an exquisite blend of period charm and modern comfort, the villa boasts an impeccable atmosphere.

Villa Liberty sleeps up to eleven guests in five bedrooms: four, spacious, double bedrooms and a triple bedroom. All of the bedrooms are on the first floor and have a TV plus air conditioning to help you through those sultry summer nights. The king-size bedroom has a bathtub and shower in the en-suite bathroom whereas the other bathrooms all have showers. Please note that just one bathroom is not en-suite. You will also find a library on the first floor with lovely high ceilings, which would make an ideal work space for those who are unable to leave the world behind during their stay.

Retention time
