Villa del Golfo is the perfect location for unforgettable day trips to the most beautiful towns in Tuscany and provides a unique opportunity to admire its splendid landscapes while soaking up the region’s historical and cultural heritage. Some of the places in the surrounding area are the historic center of Capalbio, the towns of Porto Ercole and Santo Stefano, the Etruscan city of Tuscania and Tarquinia, the thermal baths at Saturnia, the Valle D'Orcia, and the medieval jewels of Siena, Montalcino and Montepulciano.

The villa is a few kilometers from Magliano, famous for its delicious Morellino di Scansano wine. Boasting a pleasing medieval aspect, the town is perched on a hill with vineyards and olive trees right in the middle of the Maremma, whose natural park extends into the town’s municipal territory. The picturesque seaside resort of Porto Santo Stefano overlooks the northern side of the peninsula. Particularly beloved are the promenade along the seafront and the port. From here, you can also explore the nearby Giglio Island.

Monte Argentario attracts tourists from all over the world for its unique landscape, its marine environment and its mild climate, which makes it a perfect holiday destination for most of the year. In addition to its natural beauty, the charm of Porto Ercole derives from the imposing Spanish fortresses that were built in the 16th century: Forte Filippo, la Rocca and Forte Stella are three perfectly preserved fortifications from which you can admire the wonderful views of the sea.

The villa is a few kilometers from Capalbio, an alluring town standing at the top of a hill covered with Maremma brush. Because of its elegance, Capalbio has become a holiday destination for the elite, drawn by the evocative atmosphere in the streets and the ancient castle that dominates the valley below. Orbetello is nestled on a narrow strip of land stretching through a lagoon with the same name. In tune with its surroundings, the town’s trade has always been fishing, made easy by the shallow waters of the lagoon.

The villa is just 1,7 km from the center of Fonteblanda, where all the bars, restaurants and necessary services can be easily found.

The Property
Surrounded by beautiful gardens and the turquoise Tyrrhenian Sea, Villa del Golfo provides the perfect getaway for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in Tuscany. With views of the rolling Tuscan hills and emerald beaches, Villa del Golfo is a dreamy escape to the Tuscan coastline. Built on the edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea and within sight of Talamone, the villa can accommodate twenty plus two extra guests in ten double bedrooms (two with a sofa bed for extra guests) spread over three floors.

Immersed in a beautiful garden, this elegant villa boasts a magnificent infinity pool and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a calm atmosphere, the poolside area represents an idyllic spot for basking in the sun and enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation. The pool area is also accessible from the left side of the villa. It is roughly 100 meters away, granting both privacy from the villa and to the pool guests.

The garden of the villa is around four hectares of land and it includes the main terrace in front of the villa, shaded by secular pine trees, palm trees and wild olive trees. Meals can be enjoyed in the shade and in the breeze for up to twenty people, and two connectedexternal sitting areas are placed under the olive trees, ideal for relaxing during the day andenjoying wonderful aperitivos at sunset overlooking the Bay of Talamone, Talamone Port andthe Island of Giglio.

On clear days, the Island of Montecristo and the hills of Corsica can be also seen, being respectively 40 and 60 miles away. On the left side of the villa there is a winter garden, shaded by wind, where one can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just over this winter garden and reachable from the winter garden, from the back of the villa and from the front main terrace, there is a shaded rose garden, some terraces and our vegetable garden, producing fresh vegetables ready for our chef to serve during the meals.

Offering charm and modern comfort, the villa has three floors, with the ground floor having the main dining room, the main sitting room with two separate sitting areas and an ancient fireplace to warm up more chilly evenings during colder months, a little study with a fireplace connecting the main sitting room to the dining room, and its TV Room, other than the kitchen, fully set up with professional equipment to grant the villa’s guests’ most sophisticated needs.

The first floor features the main master apartment, with its kitchenette, private living room overlooking the main terrace and the Bay of Talamone, and two bedrooms with en-suite bathroom. The master room has both bathtub and separate shower, and two separate sinks, while the other room has a newly renovated shower. On the first floor you will also find five bedrooms: three have en-suite bathroom and overlook the garden; the other two have their own private bathroom just a few steps away.

On the second floor you will find three double bedrooms: two with en-suite bathroom and one with private bathroom. The two en-suite rooms on this floor are each composed of two rooms, one having a single sofa bed ideal for children or an extra guest. With views over the garden, green rolling hills, the Tyrrhenian Sea, and colorful sunsets, each room is fully equipped with soft linens, spacious wardrobes, comfortable private bathrooms, and dressing tables or plush arm chairs.

Each bedroom has been carefully and tastefully decorated with antique Italian furnishings that infuse the space with a refined elegance. From each window, the views stretch from mountain to the Tyrrhenian Sea, encompassing our luscious gardens and inviting the intrepid traveler to sit back, relax and enjoy everything Tuscany has to offer. All beds are king-sized and one double bedroom, with private bathroom, on request, can be converted into a twin room.
