The Property
Once the country residence of a noble family, this 13th-century villa has been lovingly restored into a haven of elegance, with particular attention paid to safety and eco-sustainability. The property is equipped with a photovoltaic system and a wood-fired heating system, reducing its environmental impact while maintaining modern comfort. Set amidst manicured gardens on the outskirts of Lucca, Villa Aurea Lucca can accommodate up to 10 guests across 5 beautifully appointed double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Surrounded by a walled enclosure that guarantees complete privacy, the villa is set within acres of beautifully maintained grounds, where paths lead through Italian flower orchards and an organic fruit tree garden. The saltwater swimming pool with Roman steps, a jetted hydromassage corner and an additional shallow basin provides a serene escape on summer days. The paved poolside area is complete with loungers and two pavilions: one with a pergola shading a lounge space, the other perfect for dining al fresco. The villa also features a helicopter landing area.
Inside, the villa’s interiors are classical and welcoming, with cotto floors, original fireplaces, and glittering chandeliers. Rustic details such as wood-beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls add Tuscan authenticity, while touches of modern lighting ensure a refined balance. The rustic kitchen opens onto an outdoor veranda with dining and living spaces, while the indoor dining room is ideal for leisurely meals paired with Italian wine. A bathroom with shower and a living room complete the ground level.
The villa’s five double bedrooms each boast their own en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and a sitting area. Two bedrooms are on the first floor, while three more, along with a living room with a statement chandelier, are on the second level. All bathrooms have a shower, except for one of the three bedrooms on the second floor, which has a bathtub. Some rooms feature elegant stone walls and rustic beams, others lean towards a more classical style, yet all combine timeless charm with modern convenience.
