Location and Surrounding Area
Set in the rolling hills of Barberino Tavarnelle, the villa enjoys a truly privileged location at the heart of the Chianti region. This picturesque area, nestled between Florence and Siena, is celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes of vine-covered slopes, olive groves, and cypress-lined roads. From the property, guests can savour sweeping views over the Tuscan countryside. The location combines the serenity of the countryside with the convenience of nearby historic towns.

The villa enjoys a peaceful setting near Barberino Tavarnelle, a charming hilltop town in the Chianti region, known for its tranquil streets, traditional trattorias, and panoramic views. Just a short drive away lies Panzano in Chianti, a lovely village with a relaxed atmosphere, home to excellent wineries and the famous butcher Dario Cecchini. Both towns offer an authentic taste of Tuscan life, with weekly markets, Romanesque churches, and picturesque country roads perfect for scenic drives.

To the south, Castellina in Chianti enchants visitors with its medieval charm, stone-paved alleys, and the Via delle Volte, an ancient underground passage that offers sweeping views over the vineyards. A little further east, Greve in Chianti is considered the gateway to the Chianti Classico wine route. Its main square, framed by arcades, is lined with wine shops and delicatessens offering local specialities. These nearby towns are ideal for day trips filled with wine tastings, artisan discoveries, and stunning countryside views.

For those looking to explore further afield, San Gimignano, with its iconic medieval towers and UNESCO-listed historic centre, is about 40 minutes away. Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, is easily reachable for a day of art, culture, and shopping, while Siena, with its Gothic architecture and famed Piazza del Campo, offers an unforgettable glimpse into Tuscany’s medieval past. Whether you seek quiet hilltop villages or grand historical cities, the villa’s location makes it easy to enjoy the very best of the region.

Podere Sicelle is 43 km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport, 94 km from Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport, 136 km from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, and 309 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport.
