Location and Surrounding Area
Located near the heart of Positano, this elegant villa is the perfect place for a stylish break on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. Villa Barocca features a spacious panoramic terrace and sweeping views of the sea, providing the ultimate retreat on the Amalfi Coast. The Sorrentine Peninsula juts into the sea like a pointing finger, its rugged shores sprinkled with some of Italy’s most spectacular beaches, its bucolic interior molded by the limestone Monti Lattari.

The sight of Positano from a distance is breathtaking. Color is everywhere, reflecting on the tranquil sea, the silvery pebbled beach and the gleaming Majolica-domed church of Santa Maria Assunta. The houses built up from the waterside, accessible to one another via an endless array of steep stairs, boast pale sorbet colors. In summer, when the serried ranks of sunbeds fill up quickly, take a boat to explore the many small coves up and down the coast.

The center of Sorrento is laid out on a Roman grid of narrow lanes now lined with restaurants serving pasta and shops selling souvenirs. But away from the well-worn paths are little-explored nooks and crannies. Then there are traditional greengrocers and haberdashers huddled behind wooden shop fronts, the medieval palaces along Via Pietà, the magnificent courtyard of Palazzo Correale, and artisan workshops producing the same wood intarsia for which the town became famous in the 18th century.

The villa is a ten-minute walk from the center of Positano, where all the necessary services can be easily found.

The Property
Located in the picturesque hilltop town of Positano, Villa Barocca boasts a generous fully-furnished terrace and expansive panoramic views, providing the ultimate retreat in one of the most evocative corners on the Amalfi Coast. Trapped between an infinite blue sky and azure sea, the spectacular cliff-top setting of the villa ensures superb panoramas. Offering an impressive sense of elegance, Villa Barocca can accommodate up to sixteen guests (plus four extra guests) featuring eight double bedrooms (plus two extra rooms on request) with en-suite bathroom spread over four floors.

With spectacular views of the town below and the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this historic villa boasts generous terraces for basking in the sun and enjoying the orange-scented breeze. Offering a calm atmosphere, the villa features an al fresco dining area and a comfortable lounge area for relaxing and socializing. Surrounded by a manicured garden, the villa also boasts an exceptional infinity pool and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind.

Flooded with light, the ground floor of the villa boasts a fully-equipped kitchen with pizza oven and all the amenities you might need during your stay, a spacious dining room with large dining table, and a bright living area with comfortable sofas and armchairs with plenty of seating. On the ground floor you will also two half bathrooms. The garden and the pool area are accessible from this level and are the perfect retreat to sunbathe or just sip a cocktail while enjoying the sea breeze.

The upper floor houses four generous double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower and direct access to the terrace. Each bedroom boasts wonderful views of the sea. On the lower floor of the villa you will find four comfortable double bedrooms, each with large en-suite bathroom with shower, spectacular views of the sea and direct access to a private terrace. On the top floor of the villa, which is available on request at an additional cost, you will find two spacious suites complete with sitting corner and a large en-suite bathroom with shower. Offering an elegant atmosphere, each bedroom is adorned with fine fabrics and antique furnishings, and features minibar, safe, air conditioning and heating. Villa Barocca features air conditioning, heating and wireless Internet access throughout the property, and TV with SKY. The villa also features bathrobes, slippers, complimentary toiletries and hair dryer in each bathroom, dishwasher and washing machine. The villa is approximately 150 steps from the street level. As already mentioned, four extra beds can be added in the rooms on the first floor, on request, at an additional cost.
