Location and Surrounding Area. Located near the center of Palermo, this magnificent four-suite villa is the perfect place for a relaxing break on one of the most celebrated stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. The villa is just a stone’s throw from the town of Palermo, one of Sicily’s most celebrated destinations. Beyond Palermo is a string of worthy day-trip destinations. Among these is the mosaicked magnificence of Monreale Cathedral, beach-loving Mondello, the pristine marine reserve of Ustica Island, and the inland town of Corleone.

Having been the crossroads of civilizations for millennia, Palermo delivers a heavily spiced mix of Byzantine mosaics, Arabesque domes and frescoed cupolas. This is a city at the edge of Europe and at the heart of the ancient world, a place where souk-like markets rub up against baroque churches, where date palms frame Gothic palaces and where the blue-eyed and fair have bronze-skinned cousins. Centuries of dizzying highs and crushing lows have formed a complex metropolis.

Mondello became fashionable in the 19th century, when the city's elite flocked here in their carriages, thus warranting the huge Liberty-style pier that dominates the seafront and kicking off a craze for building opulent summer villas. One can hardly blame them. Mondello's sandy coastline is gorgeous, with crystal-clear turquoise waters that are difficult to resist. Most of the beaches are private, but there is also a wide swath of public beach crammed with swimmers, pedalos and jet skis.

The villa is a stone’s throw from Cefalù, which offers a rare combination of tourist attractions: one of Sicliy's finest beaches side-by-side with one of its greatest Arab-Norman architectural masterpieces. The squares, streets and churches of this medieval town are so postcard-pretty that it is no wonder director Giuseppe Tornatore chose to set parts of his much-loved film “Cinema Paradiso” here. The town is perfectly suited to slow, pedestrianized exploration and the little port is lined with fishing boats.

The villa is a few kilometers from Trapani, whose small port buzzes with ferry traffic zipping to and from the remote Egadi Islands and the mysterious volcanic rock island of Pantelleria, not far from Tunisia. Trapani's adjacent historic center, with its maze of ancient churches and palazzi, is a mellow place to stroll, for both locals and travelers awaiting their next boat. From late afternoon onwards, main street Via Garibaldi buzzes with what feels like the entire town out in force enjoying their lazy stroll.

The Property. Located in an 8-hectare park with citrus groves and centuries-old trees, Villa Oasi has a sixteenth-century layout and is surrounded by one of the most emblematic gardens of 19th-century Sicilian Romanticism. Offering a calm atmosphere, the interiors of the villa are spacious and bright, characterized by frescoes and majolica. With welcoming rooms and bright interiors decorated with 18th-century frescoes, Villa Oasi can accommodate eight guests featuring four elegant suites with en-suite bathroom spread over two levels.

On the ground floor, you will find the Blue Suite: this spacious suite boasts marble floors and a private terrace. It is located next to a reading room that features a small collection of antique books belonging to the family. It boasts a comfortable queen-size bed, air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar and an exceptional en-suite bathroom with double vanity, bathtub and large shower. The villa boasts a generous dining room, where guests can have breakfast or private dinners. The ground floor houses a large kitchen and the upper floor features a smaller kitchen, which are accessible only by the villa’s staff.

On the ground floor, you will also find the Pink Suite: this generous and light-filled bedroom boasts antique majolica floors and an exceptional private terrace. Flooded with light, the bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed, air conditioning, TV with satellite channels and minibar. The room also features a private lounge area with comfortable sofas with plenty of seating and an en-suite bathroom with both bathtub and shower. On the ground floor, you will also find an exclusive Billiard Room which overlooks the garden and is adjacent to the house bar.

On the upper floor, the Piano Nobile, you will find the Contessa Suite: entirely frescoed, it boasts a "secret" door to the boudoir. This generous and bright suite features a comfortable queen-size bed, air conditioning, satellite TV and minibar. It is adjacent to the Music Room and overlooks the gardens. It also features an en-suite bathroom with boudoir, bathtub with shower and separate toilet. On the same floor, you will find the Music Room, which houses an exclusive piano with Wagner’s score, who was a villa’s guest and composed a part of the Parsifal in the residence.

On the same floor, you will find the Majolica Suite: paved with exquisite 18th-century majolica, this suite features a private lounge area, air conditioning, satellite TV and minibar. It is the largest and brightest room and can accommodate two guests in two French beds. It comes complete with en-suite bathroom with double vanity, bathtub with shower and separate toilet. On the upper floor you will find a generous terrace with blue and white majolica. Below the terrace you will find a large patio with three arches, perfect for al fresco dining. Immersed in a lush garden, the villa boasts al fresco lounge areas for relaxing and socializing.
