The villa is just a stone’s throw from the medieval town of Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

The villa is a few kilometers from the medieval town of Montepulciano. Standing high atop a hill not far from Siena, the town of Montepulciano boasts elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and breathtaking views over the wonderful Val d’Orcia. In just one hour by car, you can also reach Montalcino, extremely well-known for the production of its Brunello red wine, one of the world’s most appreciated Italian wines.

In about one hour by car, you can reach San Gimignano, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Italy. From afar, San Gimignano looks like a town from a Renaissance painting: a circle of 13th-century walls enclosing tall, teetering stone towers. Its towers make it instantly recognizable, but the art treasures held within its walls are just as remarkable. Although the town is small, there is enough art, architecture and fine food to keep you busy for more than one day.

The property is also a few kilometers from Volterra, one of Tuscany’s most dramatic hilltop towns. Despite its many attractions, Volterra sees fewer tourists than other Tuscan towns, so you can expect to share its winding stone streets with locals and explore its ancient sites without crowds. Founded by the Etruscans and surrounded by medieval walls, Volterra has a notable historic center filled with fascinating Roman ruins, medieval buildings and alabaster workshops.

The Property
Located in the heart of Tuscany, Villa Le Colline represents an oasis of tranquility in the wild Val d’Orcia, just a few minutes from the towns of Siena, Montalcino and Pienza. With all-round views over the Tuscan hills, the property is the ideal place to enjoy a holiday in the company of family and friends. Dating back to the 17th century, this redbrick farmhouse measures more than 300 square meters. This recently-renovated villa can accommodate up to ten guests in five bedrooms with en-suite bathroom spread over two floors.

Surrounded by a generous garden, the property boasts an exclusive infinity pool and a spacious poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. With a tranquil atmosphere, the poolside area represents an idyllic spot for basking in the sun and relax. With charming views of the countryside, the garden also features two large gazebos, a dining area with an outdoor kitchen and a lounge area with a firepit. Guests can also enjoy a panoramic loggia with a Jacuzzi and an 18-meter bocce court.

The property is surrounded by five hectares of farmland and enjoys breathtaking views of the Crete Senesi. At its center is a generous garden, about one hectare in size, with a rectangular redbrick farmhouse in traditional Tuscan style. The farmhouse measures about 300 square meters and features five double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a large living area. Completely renovated in 2021 using prestigious materials, this magnificent farmhouse offers an exquisite blend of period charm and modern comfort.
