Location and Surrounding Area. Located in one of the most appreciated areas in Southern Italy, between the Adriatic coast and the town of Alberobello, this exclusive six-bedroom property is ideally situated to offer complete privacy to its guests, providing a perfect retreat for those who want to explore this exclusive area. Famous for its whitewashed towns, excellent food, dramatic coastal cliffs and beautiful beaches, this area of Apulia features all the ingredients for the perfect vacation.

In twenty minutes by car, you can reach the town of Alberobello, perhaps the most famous town in the Valle d’Itria due to its typical trulli: the conical rooftops coupled with charming cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses are a simply magical sight. The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consists of a maze of lovely streets and steps lined by trulli. Alberobello is considered a unique and enchanting place, and despite the fact that you may find it a bit touristy, it is definitely worth a visit.

In thirty minutes by car, you can easily reach Locorotondo, a whitewashed hilltop town designated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The old city radiates out around the 19th century neoclassical Chiesa Madre San Giorgio, a church dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Since Locorotondo is perched on a hill, you can get amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the Villa Comunale, the public garden located on the west side of the historic center.

The villa is just a stone’s throw away from the town of Martina Franca, the largest town in the Valle d’Itria. Being in the heart of the valley, the town of Martina Franca is a great base from which to explore this wonderful area, but spend some time exploring its old center, an interesting mix of golden baroque and Greek-like white architecture with many grand palazzi and churches, and a maze of narrow side streets perfect for aimless wandering.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Savelletri, a pretty port town with beaches and great dining options. Known for the quality seafood, Savelletri offers a traditional fishing village atmosphere. Enjoy some fresh fish just brought in by the fishermen and stroll along the charming seafront. There is a lovely waterfront church with Templar symbols, which is dedicated to the patron saint, celebrated in grand style on the second Sunday of August with a procession by sea of boats.

In forty minutes by car, you can reach Ostuni, also known as “the white city”. With its ancient cobblestone streets, grand churches and quaint white houses, Ostuni boasts remarkable history that goes back to the Stone Ages. The Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace are especially striking, but there are many other architectural gems to be found, including the old homes of the nobles: you would not be mistaken for thinking that you are actually wandering around a lovely Greek village.

The Property. With breathtaking views of the sea, Villa Monopoli View extends over a hectare of terraced gardens with olive trees, fruit trees, a small organic vegetable garden and a lawn encircling the pool, the sunbathing area and a part of the house. Located in one of the most evocative corners in Southern Italy, this exclusive property can accommodate up to twelve guests in six bedrooms (five double bedrooms and a twin room) spread over the main villa (four bedrooms) and the dépendance (two bedrooms).

The villa boasts an exceptional swimming pool and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers and deckchairs inviting guests to sit back and relax. Tasty al fresco lunches and dinners can be prepared in the barbecue area complete with pizza oven, and enjoyed in the sunshine or under the shade of a wonderful trailing wisteria. Outdoors you will also find an organic vegetable garden with abundance of fresh greens for guests to enjoy.

The villa was originally built in 1930 and was completely renovated so all of the rooms and bathrooms are freshly decorated. A dépendance next to the main villa was completed in 2013 and can comfortably sleep up to four guests in two double bedrooms. One of the principal characteristics of the property is the two different styles of the buildings: the main villa is very classic while the dépendance is very minimalist and modern with large windows and wooden panels around the whole building.

Main Villa: With accommodation all on one level, the main villa can sleep up to eight guests in four bedrooms: three double bedrooms and a twin room (which, on request, can be transformed into a double bedroom): a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower; a double bedroom and a twin room sharing a bathroom with shower; a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub with shower wand. The front door of the main villa opens onto a spacious sitting and dining area. The generous kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences but the timeless, original cooker and wood oven remain.

Dépendance: The dépendance can sleep four guests in two double bedrooms. The dépendance boasts a spacious patio area with an elegant dining table in front of the main entrance. The patio area opens onto a sitting room and a cozy well-equipped kitchen. In the dépendance you will find two double bedrooms, one larger and one smaller, each with its own bathroom with shower. Offering a contemporary atmosphere, this modern dépendance was built according to all the laws of minimal environmental impact and features air conditioning in both bedrooms.
