The  Masseria Triggianello – Il Giardino di San Pietro ispart of a larger historical  Masseria (farmhouse) surrounded in ancient times by woodland, dating back to the XVI century, and named “Masseria San Pietro or of Defence”, due to its position outside the ancient walls of the town of Conversano.

The place name San Pietro – which gave its name to the entire historical Masseria, attributed to the ancient rocky church annexed to the masseria and currently not visitable as it is now disused and assimilated with a private inhabitation – derives from the legend of the passing of Saint Peter of Conversano and represents the precise place where the Apostle  preached in the countryside.

For many centuries it was the property of the Acquaviva d’Aragona family, Counts of Conversano, who used it as a hunting lodge. Entirely surrounded by a natural Mediterranean garden including millennial olive trees and dry stone walls, the farmhouse boasts a complete range of modern comforts and an exclusive tennis court. the property is at a distance of 4km from the town of Conversano, 1km from the village of Triggianello and 5km from the town of Castellana Grotte, nationally famous for its characteristic karstic caves, including the outstanding ‘Grotta Bianca’ found at the end of a 1,5km walk in the entrails of the earth, where an underground river has caused the formation of impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Numerous tourists descend on the caves from all over Italy to visit these caves. The property is in the area also known as the Upper Salento, famous for its many coastal towns, such as the beautiful and historic Monopoli, Polignano a Mare - birthplace of the famous Italian singer Domenico Modugno, Ostuni – the white town, Alberobello with its unique conical Trulli buildings, and the regional capital Bari, rich in history and important sites.

Masseria Triggianello – The Giardino di San Pietro, harmoniously blends the concept of a traditional country house, known as a "Masseria" and the modern comforts of a private villa with a pool, air conditioning throughout and internet wifi connection. Situated in the countryside around Conversano, the Masseria has been furnished with impeccable taste, using the traditional local ancient flooring in white stone known as “Chianche” and ancient open face walls. The Masseria covers an indoor surface area of 250 square metres, spread over a single floor. It can host up to 11 guests in 4 bedrooms. It is ideal for 8 people, but a further three guests can easily be added on request. The living area is the heart of the entire building: the open-plan kitchen, the sitting room, the large patio including a dining area for outdoor meals, and a gas-fired barbecue, the perfect place for passing some of the most memorable moments of your holiday. To the left and right of this central area are the bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

The outdoor area, approximately 3.000 square metres surrounding the Masseria, is completely fenced, and boasts a great variety of plants that ate typical of the Mediterranean scrub, offering a very natural appearance to the eye. A path through the garden leads to the pool, solarium and tennis court. The outdoor area is completed by a piece of land also belonging to the property.

Absolute privacy and safety are guaranteed by the barrier provided by the surrounding dry stone walls, basking in the green nature, untouched by man.

Shared Areas. The garden has access through two entrances, one from a large gate leading to a parking area, and the other through a small pedestrian gate with an intercom, that leads to the garden and the large patio and from there to the house through 4 large patio doors. These give access to the ample living area, furnished with sofas and armchairs and a beautiful fireplace with a TV corner. At the centre, there is the dining area with two large wooden tables, one rectangular and one round. Behind this area is the open-space kitchen, fully equipped with the full range of modern appliances. The kitchen also has access to another large open paved area serving as an internal courtyard, at the bottom of which is the woodshed and a service room housing the boiler. The house also includes service bathroom with washroom.

Bedrooms. The bedrooms are positioned on the two sides of the Masseria, the Master suite to the right from the entrance and large central living room and the other three bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms (plus a service WC) to the left along a corridor.

2 large double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, both with showers, one also with a small dressing room.

Outdoor Area. Private pool (8 x 4m) furnished with sunbeds and easy chairs. Private tennis court (Corte playing surface). Large patio with open-air dining room, dining table seating up to 12. Mediterranean garden with more than 10 different tree essences typical of the Mediterranean scrub and secular trees. The Masseria Conversano covers a surface of 3.000 square metres, all entirely fenced.
