Location and Surrounding Area. Nestled on the rolling Mediterranean hills of Lake Garda, this five-bedroom villa is the perfect place for an Italian break in one of the most evocative corners in Northern Italy. Covering 370 square kilometers, Lake Garda is the largest of the Italian lakes, straddling the border between three regions: the Lombard plains to the west, Alpine Trentino Alto-Adige to the north and the hills of the Veneto to the east. Look around and you will be surprised to see a Mediterranean landscape of vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards.

Like the best Italian lunch, exploring this fine region cannot be rushed. You will want to linger in Sirmione’s thermal pools, amble around Roman ruins and ferry-hop between villages. Then you might consider touring vineyards that feature in most sommeliers' top 10s: Valpolicella, Soave and Bardolino. Further south, in incurably romantic Verona, sit beneath the stars and enjoy world-class opera. And finally, in Mantua, feast on Renaissance frescoes.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Verona, a vibrant trading center, the largest city in Veneto and one of the most prosperous in Northern Italy. Best known for Shakespeare, Verona attracts a multinational gaggle of tourists to its pretty piazzas and lanes, most in search of Romeo and Juliet. But beyond the Renaissance romance, Verona’s center boasts magnificent Roman ruins and fine palazzi built of rosso di Verona, the local pink-tinged limestone. And all just a short hop from the shores of Lake Garda.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Bergamo. Of Lombardy’s four great historic cities, Bergamo might be the finest, courtesy of its handsomely walled old town, antique but atmospheric main piazza. Split into two sections: alto, the old town atop a hill, and basso, the newer town inhabiting the plains below, Bergamo juxtaposes medieval monuments with the footprints of 21st-century hipsters. Herein, 600-year-old cafes stand alongside brand-new coffee labs.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Mantua, protected by lakes, anchored by Unesco-listed Renaissance architecture and colored by a history that resounds to the daring deeds of the House of Gonzaga. Reigning for 400 years from the early 14th centuries, the Gonzaga family made Mantua a center of the Renaissance, commissioned several massive palaces, and cemented power by intermarrying with the powerful d’Este clan of Ferrara. Much of the city today was built in their image.

Though less than an hour from Venice, Padua seems a world away with its medieval marketplaces, Fascist-era facades and student population. Rich in art and architecture, this university town has two particularly outstanding sights. The magnificent Cappella degli Scrovegni, north of the city center, is famous for Giotto’s lyrical frescoes, and forms part of the complex incorporating the Eremitani church and museums. The Basilica di Sant’Antonio is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Italy.

Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the outdoor area, complete with an al fresco lounge area and a barbecue area, represents an idyllic spot for enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco.

Large window façades let the surrounding landscape, dominated by olive groves and cypresses, make its way into the interior. The result is a harmonious picture consisting of soft natural colors and stylish design elements. The first floor boasts a wellness area with sauna, steam bath and gym equipment. After a long day strolling around the region, indulge yourself as you immerse in stimulating heat experiences. The first floor also boasts a fully-equipped kitchen, an open-plan living and dining area, and two guest bathrooms.

Flooded with natural light, the second floor boasts three bedrooms: a master bedroom with a comfortable double bed, dressing room, charming lake views and open en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub; and two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower. We have a security service for the entire property, the entrance to the gate is controlled by them, as are all the perimeter cameras. There is always a person present every day of the year 24 hours a day. They do not live in the Villa but are in an office inside the property and have access to all the villas.

Retention time
