The Property
Nestled in the Sicilian countryside amidst aromatic herbs and ancient olive trees, Masseria Iblea offers a private and relaxing retreat in Montalbano’s Sicily, just a short drive from the sandy beaches of Marina di Ragusa. Originally built in the 19th century by the Schininà family, the property has been carefully restored to blend modern comforts with authentic period charm. Spanning 430 square metres, it features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and accommodates up to sixteen guests across two floors.

The villa is set within a beautifully maintained garden, featuring a stunning swimming pool and a spacious poolside area with comfortable sun loungers and a large shaded gazebo. The tranquil atmosphere invites relaxation, with the paved poolside offering the perfect spot to unwind with a good book and a glass of prosecco. Guests can also enjoy the captivating views that inspire a sense of peace and serenity. The garden includes a generous al fresco dining area with a barbecue, nestled under the trees.

From the patio, guests enter the open-plan dining and living area on the ground floor, featuring a cosy sofa, a flat-screen TV, a kitchen, and a large dining table beneath high vaulted ceiling. A mezzanine level offers a lounge area with a sofa, ideal for relaxing. The ground floor also includes three double bedrooms, one with an additional double bed on a mezzanine and another with a sofa bed. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, along with an extra bathroom for added convenience.

The first floor, accessed via an external stone staircase, includes a bright living room with a sofa and fireplace, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast table. This level offers three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, and two bathrooms with showers. Each bedroom is filled with natural light and offers picturesque views of the countryside. The highlight of this floor is a spacious sun terrace with stunning views of the Sicilian landscape, complemented by a smaller, charming terrace.
