Take a scenic drive to pretty Tuscania, a medieval, hilltop town. Meander through narrow cobblestone streets lined with historic buildings, visit the Church of San Pietro with its stunning frescoes and enjoy far-reaching views from the stone cliffs overlooking the picturesque countryside. Savour the essence of Lazio by indulging in the local cuisine and explore charming trattorias offering dishes like handmade pasta, wild boar ragu, and fresh seafood. The Tarot Garden is a fascinating open air museum/artistic parkland filled with enormous sculptures of the 22 major tarot arcana by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Montaldo di Castro beach is only a short drive from the property and you’ll be able while away the hours on a sandy beach surrounded by the natural beauty of the coastal landscape. The Vulci Archaeological Park is an ancient Etruscan city with remarkably preserved remains of life at that time. Explore the remnants of temples, bridges, and the painted François Tomb as you immerse yourself in the grandeur of a long gone civilisation. Tarquinia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for its Etruscan necropolis. Delve into the mysteries of the past as you wander through ancient burial chambers adorned with intricate frescoes, providing a captivating insight into the Etruscan civilisation's art and customs.

Pretty Porto Ercole was once upon a time a fishing village and you'll still see the old fishermen repairing their nets on the seafront. There are plenty of bars and restaurants plus you can wander up through the alleyways and steps of the old town to the so-called “Spanish Rock”. Nature lovers can embark on one of the many hiking adventure trails along the Monte Argentario promontory. Immerse yourself in the distinct Mediterranean vegetation, discover hidden coves and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline.

Villa Il Meridiano is just over an hour’s drive from Rome’s Fiumicino international airport. The Tarot Garden is only 9 km from the villa, Montalto di Castro beach is a 15 minute drive away, the Vulci Archaeological Park is 20 minutes, Tarquinia's Etruscan Heritage and Tuscania are both a 30 minute drive, Porto Ercole and the Monte Argentario promontory are about 40 minutes and the Saturnia Thermal Baths are about an hour away.

The Property. Villa Il Meridiano sleeps up to 10 guests in two floors of comfortable accommodation and all of the bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom. Two of the double bedrooms are on the ground floor, the third is on the lower floor along with the two twin bedrooms. The bedrooms rooms are all furnished in a refreshing, light-filled style to ensure a restful stay and with plenty of opportunity to make the villa your home for a while. The living space is warm and friendly with its open fireplace and wood-beamed ceilings. You can choose to enjoy your meals either indoors or al fresco on the furnished patio as the Italians like to dine. From here you’ll be able to make the most of the superb views across the countryside. The immaculate lawns and gardens offer fruit trees and an organic vegetable patch to give your meals that authentic, seasonal flavour. The rose gazebo adds a deliciously scented environment to complete your vacation experience.

The TV room features a 75 inch flat screen TV with surround sound - perfect for just kicking back at home after days of exploring the Pescia Romana area. If keeping fit inspires you during your time here, there is a large swimming pool, a grass volleyball court and the gym is equipped with all the necessary equipment to keep your heart pumping and your muscles toned. The poolside deck is great for lazing about afterwards in the hammock or picking up a sun-kissed look on the loungers.

Retention time
