Villa Lario is located in Vassena, a hillside hamlet on the shores of the lake. In the rustic, picturesque town situated on a river delta that enjoys an almost perfect southern exposition you’ll find lawns, flowers, plants and an olive grove with hundred-year-old trees. Surrounded by the stunning landscape of Grigne Mountain and Lake Como, you can stroll around the romantic scenery or take a boat to one of the charming towns along the coast. Bellagio is a quaint seaside town on the promontory of the two southern parts of Lake Como. You can stroll down Via Garibaldi and take in the boutiques, gardens and the restaurants and bars of this jewel of a town. The villa is 50 minutes to the famous Como, a hillside city boasting views of the lake. In the pristine, picturesque town you can visit Villa del Balbianello, Balsilica of Sant’Abbondio and also catch the Botanic Gardens at Hotel Cipressi. The monastery Santa Caterina del Sasso is built into a steep rock face just over the Lake Maggiore. The botanic gardens of Villa Taranto in Intra where you can visit the herbarium, Fontana Dei Putti and Vertical Gardens.

Bellinzona is 96 km from the villa, Lugano 41 km, Orta di San Giulio is 114 km. The well-connected Milan train station and bus station are easily accessed in the center of the city which is 72 km from the property. The Malpensa Airport is 83 km from Lario.
The Property. This pristine property is set within the quaint lake hamlet of Vassena with the medieval church of St. Nazaro and Celso. Villa Lario is found above Lago Como which hosts kilometers of beaches and coastline of blues and greens from the trees and uncontaminated nature. Guests can enjoy the stunning setting in this villa where one can find relaxation wandering and exploring the landscape. The villa is in an exclusive position on the lake and most importantly there is the incredible pool overlooking the landscape. It is located in the fun and trendy coast bustling where the visitor can spend days visiting the local sites, going for day trips around the beautiful region and having drinks at sunset at the pool will decidedly bring magic and calm to your vacation. Villa Lario is a three floor home with antique furniture reflecting its historical origins while maintaining a contemporary style. The four bedroom villa has been remodelled with a modern touch whose spaces and garden have a distinct respect for its unforgettable surroundings and can comfortably accommodate 9 guests. It is the epitome of modern luxury and the immense estate is filled with impeccably decorated rooms in exclusive materials and furniture.
Enter the immaculate ground floor of the villa to find a stunning double bedroom, decorated in warm color and classically furnished with an en-suite bathroom. On this floor there is also a wine cellar full of a range of wines from the most prestigious Italian vineyards. Not to be overlooked is the “Technogym” gym equipment with a personal trainer available upon request. The first floor is the heart of the villa, including two lounges and a kitchen. The neutrally-colored main lounge has touches of gold and antique furniture, works of art, luxurious fabrics and crystal chandeliers. There is also a Louise XVI marble fireplace and a balcony with a view of the lake. The secondary lounge is set in dusty pinks, cream and pastel greys and modern furniture and a place to relax with the sofa bed and plasma TV. The fully-equipped stylist kitchen also has a lake view and a solid, large Tuscany style table for eat-in meals.
The top floor of the villa has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a master bedroom with a king-size bed, damask curtains and elegant armchairs and gold and neutral colors. There is also a private balcony with view of Grigna Mountain. The modern double bedroom is delicately colored with a contemporary furniture style to adorn the comfortable room. There is also a large single bedroom in pink and whites with a wrought iron bed, antique writing desk, parquet flooring and private balcony with a view of Lake Como. There is also an en-suite bathroom connecting to the room.
The grounds of the Dolce Vita includes a heated swimming pool and solarium which are surrounded by flowers, plants, hundred-year-old olive trees and a sprawling lawn which envelops the landscape. The large terrace faces the Grigna Mountain panorama and a view that is full of romance and history. There are also two gazebos for dining al fresco and a large, spacious, covered garage with room with easy parking for two cars, bicycles and motorbikes. The villa is a perfect location for any outdoor activity like biking, hiking and canoeing.
