VILLA EDEN - ISCHIA
12 Bedrooms
Location and Surrounding Area
A well-known countess owned and resided in this elegant and opulent mansion until the end of the 1970s. The entire promontory is covered by the property land, which is laid out in the shape of a ring.
Villa Eden, which is located below Mount Montaione and is completely hidden by tall trees and vegetation, can thus ensure complete privacy. Due to its location, it provides the most amazing views of the sea, extending from Capri to the charming island of Procida in the northern part of the Bay of Naples, while also overlooking the most upscale areas of the islands and nearby private residences. Thanks to its previous owner, this property has a very interesting history and has hosted visitors from all over the world for many years.
Since the promontory is actually a portion of the gate to the island's oldest volcano, Monte Tuorone, and since "fumaroles" are still visible beneath the villa's entrance, the area is brimming with natural mysteries and wonders.
The interiors and garden are equally full of surprises, including the golden door, the ancient artifacts from the Assisi church, and the numerous rare plants. The main villa (Villa Eden) and its neighboring villa (Villa M), two exquisite bedrooms, and two dependency rooms (Padrone and Apartment P) make up the villa's four distinct units.
Six steps lead from Villa Eden to the pool area. The swimming pool (2.5 x 4.5 x 6 m) is situated on a terrace with breathtaking sea views, is paved with natural stone, and is adorned with decorative potted flowers, miniature lemon trees, palm trees, and cacti. The terrace is equipped with chaise lounges in addition to a table and six chairs. The garden area has two sofas, a patio with bougainvillea, small tables, and lounge chairs on the same level.
A lower terrace level with a lounge and two white built-in stone benches is reached after seven steps. Fantastic views of the entire promontory and the nearby Ischia Porto's bustling port can be seen from almost everywhere in the area.
Dining area and patio: the villa has an outdoor dining area with a large table that seats ten people. To ensure privacy while taking in the views of the coastline, a sizable terrace area at the back of the villa, which connects to Villa M (the second main villa), is bordered by a built-in stone bench and tall maritime pine trees with large crowns. There are two round tables, chairs, and lounge chairs on a sizable patio that is covered in cane sticks.
Roof terraces: a terracotta-paved terrace is accessed by 23 steps. A terrace area covered in cane sticks and bordered by a lush Bougainvillea is reached after another 14 steps of ascending. The roof terraces, which have benches built into them and provide views of the Aragon Castle and Procida Island, are accessed by seven steps.
Outdoor kitchen: a covered outdoor kitchen with many amenities, including a big wooden grill, a pizza oven, two little sinks, a barbecue, a fridge and two freezers, is reached by 13 steps from the roof terrace. Additionally accessible in 33 steps from the parking lot and 20 steps from Villa Eden.
Villa Eden (Main Villa, Unit 1): lounge and dining area, kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms, 1 single room), 3 bathrooms.
Apartment M (Main Villa, Unit 2): living area and kitchenette, 3 bedrooms (double bedrooms), 2 bathrooms + external room with bathroom.
Annex apartment M: 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
