The villa is just a stone’s throw from Florence, home to some of the world’s greatest artistic treasures. Key sites in Florence include the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce. Wander the ancient streets of the city until you reach the Arno River, cross the Ponte Vecchio, and explore the vibrant Oltrarno district. Here, you can stroll the same streets walked by Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Botticelli, while enjoying some of the world’s best gelato.

In just an hour by car, you can reach Siena, one of Italy’s most charming medieval towns. The heart of Siena is the magnificent Piazza del Campo, famous for the lively Palio horse race held twice a year in July and August. The Campo is dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the town. Siena is effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, boasting both spiritual and secular monuments that retain their medieval forms and exceptional art collections.

The villa is also an hour’s drive from Lucca, known as “the city of 100 churches.” Hidden behind imposing Renaissance walls, its cobbled streets, delightful piazzas, and shady promenades make it an ideal destination for exploring on foot. In less than an hour and a half’s drive, you can also visit Pisa, renowned for its iconic Leaning Tower. After climbing the steps to admire the breathtaking views, continue your visit to other marvels in the Piazza dei Miracoli, including the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the Monumental Cemetery.

The Property
Surrounded by nature and immersed in a landscape of outstanding beauty characterised by gentle hills, Villa Babette provides the perfect retreat for those seeking complete privacy and pure relaxation in the heart of Tuscany. Offering the warmth and atmosphere of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, Villa Babette can accommodate up to twelve guests, featuring six comfortable bedrooms (five double bedrooms and one twin room) with bathrooms spread across the main villa and the dépendance: five bedrooms in the main villa and one bedroom in the dépendance.

Set amidst lush gardens, the villa boasts a magnificent pool with a Jacuzzi and a spacious poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers and large parasols providing ample shade. Overlooking the Chianti hills, this exceptional area beside the pool is the perfect spot to enjoy relaxing moments with a good book and a glass of prosecco. The patio also features a generous al fresco dining area with a large table under the shade of a pergola, where guests can spend intimate time together while enjoying traditional Italian cuisine and the mild Tuscan climate.

On the ground floor of the main villa, the interior living space is furnished with comfortable sofas, offering plenty of seating. As the evening falls, gather around the fireplace and relax with a glass of Chianti wine. The ground floor also houses a spacious dining room and two fully equipped kitchens with all the amenities you might need during your stay. In the main villa, you will find five bedrooms (four double bedrooms and one twin room) spread over two floors: the ground floor has one double bedroom, while the upper floor features four bedrooms (three double bedrooms and one twin room). Each room has an en-suite bathroom; two bathrooms have a Jacuzzi tub, while the others have a shower.

In the dépendance, there is one double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. The dépendance has two floors and includes a cosy sitting area with a fireplace, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The upper floor contains a comfortable double bedroom.
