The Property
Found amidst the breathtaking hills of the world-famous Chianti wine region, Tenuta Castellina is a 17th-century estate offering peace and relaxation. Recently restored and reopened, this magnificent estate boasts two beautifully renovated century-old structures: an authentic Tuscan farmhouse and a granary. It is the ideal home base for families with children, groups, and romantic escapists looking for a private retreat into the Tuscan countryside. The estate can accommodate fourteen guests in the main house and the granary.

Tucked into the south side of the oak-forested Cambolli hill, Tenuta Castellina is an intimately private retreat cradled by forested hills, breathtaking skies, and rural horizons. Offering the perfect blend of contemporary comforts and traditional luxuries, both buildings feature master and junior suites with king-size beds, fluffy duvets, and crisp sheets. Eco-friendly and utterly divine, Tenuta Castellina is powered by solar panel systems, using 100% renewable energy and rainwater harvesting.

Lovingly restored in 2017, the 5-bedroom authentic Tuscan farmhouse invites guests to curl up in front of its fireplace during the winter or unwind in the crystalline saltwater pool during the summer. The interiors feature a maze-like succession of open and intimate spaces filled with light, including a traditional Tuscan kitchen with twin hand-carved wood and wrought iron chandeliers hanging over two dining tables and a rough-hewn kitchen fireplace.

Finely crafted Tuscan antiques sourced from around the region and refurbished include custom-made hand-carved wood furniture and fine artefacts: large mirrors, elegant tables, finely upholstered chairs, ornate sideboards, and chandeliers. Each en-suite bathroom is outfitted with Italian Tuscan marble and travertine stone. Outside, a pergola-covered dining area and stone grill provide the perfect setting for barbecues, private gatherings, and celebrations.

On the main level, you will find a large chef’s kitchen with an authentic Tuscan fireplace, a pergola-covered outdoor dining area featuring a stone kitchen, and a professional grill. The kitchen also includes a wine cooler with an award-winning collection of estate Chianti Classico wines (available at an additional cost). This level also features a small study with an iPad and Canon multifunction printer, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. There is a guest bedroom with a large double-size bed, a private terrace, and a bathroom on the upper level with a shower. Additionally, there is an adjacent dining room and a cosy fitness room equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, and other fitness gear.

Offering a warm atmosphere and abundant natural sunlight, the main level also includes an exceptional master bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, a private entrance, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and an adjacent study room with a printer and iPad. The upper level features a spacious open double living room with an adjacent foyer, including a large traditional Tuscan fireplace, an elegant dining room, and a small, fully-equipped kitchen with an induction stove, dishwasher, and fridge. Granary (2 Double Bedrooms):
The Granary accommodates up to four guests. Steeped in historic charm and romance, the Granary is situated just a few short steps from the Main House. Recently restored in 2020, this building once housed farm animals during the Middle Ages and now offers a unique blend of history and comfort. With two spacious master bedrooms, a generous indoor living area, and a stunning outdoor dining area surrounded by breathtaking countryside views, the Granary is perfect for creating lasting memories with loved ones.

Guests are welcomed into a beautifully decorated open living and dining room, featuring an original stone backdrop, a fully-equipped custom chef's kitchen with Bardiglio grey Italian marble countertops and a kitchen island, and a pergola-covered outdoor dining area with a large travertine table. On the upper level, both master suites offer magnificent countryside views and large en-suite bathrooms with double showers. A highlight of the Granary is its outdoor space, where you will find a newly-built outdoor stone kitchen complete with a wood-fired pizza oven.

The main level includes a chef's kitchen with a pergola-covered outdoor dining area, an open-plan living room with an adjacent dining room, a laundry room, and a guest bathroom with disabled accessibility. There is also direct access to the pool. On the upper level, the Master Bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a large double shower. The Guest Bedroom offers panoramic windows, a large double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a double vanity and a spacious Roman shower. Heated towel racks are provided in each bathroom.
