In less than an hour by car, you can reach Florence, a treasure trove of art with an astonishing contemporary vibe. Beyond its extraordinary artistic heritage, the best way to enjoy Florence is to stroll along the riverside avenues at sunset or to get lost among the city’s alleyways in the Oltrarno. Also within an hour’s drive, you can easily reach Siena, the medieval walled city famous for the twice-annual Palio horse race. Spend hours wandering through the warren-like maze of streets branching out from Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped public square crowned by an iconic bell tower.

In just one hour by car, you can also visit San Gimignano, one of Italy’s best-preserved medieval villages. The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and strolling through the cobblestone streets will make you feel as if you have stepped back in time. For beautiful bowls, vases, and other decorative items made of alabaster, head to Volterra. Known for its alabaster workshops, such as Rossi Alabastri, you can visit these to learn more about the craft. As you wander around the historic centre, you’ll find plenty of shops selling items made from this translucent stone.

In less than two hours by car, you can reach Chianciano Terme, one of Tuscany’s largest thermal baths. The Chianciano thermal area boasts five springs with waters of varying mineral compositions and temperatures, suited for different treatments. If you’re not here for the waters, the most interesting part of Chianciano is probably the old town, which lies to the north. Similarly, in less than two hours by car, you can reach Pisa, renowned for its iconic Leaning Tower. The main sights are located in Piazza del Duomo, also known as Piazza dei Miracoli, which includes the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Camposanto Monumentale, and the Bell Tower.

The Property
Set in the heart of the estate, L’Orto del Chianti is a farmhouse surrounded by greenery, on the peaceful banks of the Greve River. Surrounded by a simple and lush garden, this charming stone hamlet is ideal for families and groups of friends seeking tranquillity in the countryside with complete privacy. Offering a serene atmosphere, L’Orto del Chianti can accommodate up to eighteen guests in nine double bedrooms spread across four separate houses, each with its own independent access.

The property is immersed in a generous and well-maintained garden with apple and poplar trees, tall bay trees, holm oaks, and linden trees. A beautiful green field surrounds the four independent stone farmhouses and leads to the exclusive pool area, which features a spacious poolside perfect for sunbathing and enjoying relaxing moments with a good book and a glass of prosecco.

Farmhouse 1 (2 Double Bedrooms):
Once the sharecroppers' house where they would gather after a day in the fields, this farmhouse retains its homely and welcoming charm. The entrance hall leads to a spacious, bright kitchen that opens onto an outdoor veranda and a lovely living room with its own stone fireplace. On the ground floor, there is also a guest bathroom. The first floor contains two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom—one with a shower and one with a bathtub.
