In just twenty minutes by car, you can easily reach the medieval town of Montepulciano. Standing high atop a hill not far from Siena, the city boasts elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and breathtaking views over the wonderful Val d’Orcia. Montepulciano’s strategic position makes it a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful region: from here, you can reach the picturesque town of Pienza, also known as “the ideal city of the Renaissance”, and the walled medieval city of Montalcino, extremely well-known for the production of its precious Brunello red wine, one of the world’s best and most appreciated Italian wines.

In less than one hour by car, you can easily reach Siena, Italy’s loveliest medieval town, whose heart is represented by the magnificent Piazza del Campo, scene of the lively Palio horse race, which is held twice a year in July and August. The Campo is dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, from which it is possible to admire the view of the town. Effectively a giant, open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts spiritual and secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

Villa Moderna can accommodate up to fourteen guests, offering seven double bedrooms and ten bathrooms (seven en-suite bathrooms and three guest bathrooms) spread over the main villa and the dépendance.

The villa is surrounded by a lush garden of 3500 square meters where you will find a magnificent saltwater pool (6 x 12 meters; can be heated on request at an extra cost) and an exceptional poolside area equipped with outdoor shower, comfortable sun loungers, deckchairs and parasols providing plenty of shade on hot summer days: the perfect place for enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco. Offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, the garden also features multiple al fresco dining areas with barbecue and wood oven where guests can intimately spend time together while enjoying traditional Italian food and unforgettable sunsets.

On the raised ground floor of the main villa you will find multiple living and dining areas furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs offering plenty of seating, while large windows overlooking the garden constantly provide inviting views over the surrounding area creating a luminous atmosphere: as the evening falls, relax with your fellow guests while enjoying a glass of Brunello. The raised ground floor also houses a comfortable double bedroom featuring a large en-suite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi. On the same floor you will also find two modern fully-equipped kitchens and two guest bathrooms.

Just a few steps down the ground floor you will find a modern fully-equipped kitchen, and a spacious dining and living area furnished with comfortable sofas with plenty of seating. This floor also houses a comfortable double bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom with shower and a double bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi. On the same floor you will also find an exceptional wellness area with Turkish bath, shower, and a large Jacuzzi with chromotherapy. Accessed by a short flight of steps, the first floor of the main villa boasts a comfortable double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, a double bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom with shower and direct access to the terrace, and a double bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi, and direct access to the terrace. On the same floor you will also find an exceptional studio. Situated next to the main villa, the dépendance boasts an open-plan living room and a fully-equipped kitchen with a small table where guests can enjoy their breakfast under the timber ceiling. The dépendance also houses a comfortable double bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom with shower. The dépendance also features insect screens. Please note that the dépendance has air conditioning while the main villa has mechanical ventilation system.
