Located near the heart of Positano, this elegant five-bedroom villa is the perfect place for a stylish break on one of the most celebrated stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. With a spectacular cliff-top setting facing Mount Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples, it is no wonder the Amalfi Coast is a must-visit destination on everyone's bucket list. With its dreamy setting, suspended between the mountains and the sea, Positano offers a dreamy and elegant atmosphere.

The villa is a stone’s throw from Positano. The town climbs the hills in steps, with the oldest houses in the upper part of Positano, either faded red or pink, decorated with Baroque stuccoes. Via Pasitea, the traffic-free street going down to the sea, penetrates the atmospheric heart of the town with its narrow-stepped alleys, houses with vaulted roofs, terraces and tiny gardens that defy the rock. The bright colored articles Positano is famous for, on display outside the shops, blend well with the pastel-colored houses.

Despite its mountainside setting, Praiano has always had a strong connection with the sea. Its ancient name likely derives from the Latin for “open sea” because the town sits on a cape along the Amalfi Coast. The town has long been known for fishing, including the production of nets, and later coral fishing. Evidence of the fishing tradition can be seen at the Marina di Praia beach, which is often covered with small wooden boats and heaps of fishing cages and nets.

With a seeming maze of streets and staircases, Amalfi is a town best explored on foot. While Piazza Duomo and the main street are home to most of the town’s shops and restaurants, do spend some time wandering and exploring the quieter side streets, where you will find arched passageways, hidden gardens and tiny piazzas. Sitting high in the hills above Amalfi, Ravello is famous for its ravishing gardens and stupendous views, the best in the world according to former resident Gore Vidal.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Sorrento. The ancient town center of Sorrento is laid out on a Roman grid of narrow lanes, now lined with exclusive restaurants serving gnocchi and shops selling lemon-themed souvenirs, but away from the well-worn paths are little-explored nooks and crannies. From Sorrento, hop on the Circumvesuviana train to march around the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, destroyed by the eruption of the Vesuvius.

Villa Minerva is 62 km from Naples Capodichino International Airport and 290 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Positano is 1 km from the villa, Praiano is 5 km, Amalfi is 13 km, Sorrento is 17 km, Ravello is 20 km, Pompeii is 37 km, Herculaneum is 52 km, Naples is 59 km.

The Property

Located near the center of Positano and overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Villa Minerva boasts the most sophisticated design, providing a perfect hideaway in one of the most celebrated destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Trapped between an infinite blue sky and azure sea, the spectacular cliff-top setting of the villa ensures superb panoramas. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, this magnificent villa can accommodate up to ten guests featuring five double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom spread over the main villa and the dépendance.

The villa boasts a generous terrace with an exceptional pool complete with Jacuzzi and a poolside area with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. The terrace is partly shaded and is equipped with a table and chairs. Offering unparalleled views of the sea, the terrace is the perfect setting for romantic dinners and stargazing. From the property you will have a direct access to the sea and to a public beach. You will reach it by going down a public walkway that is cut into the rocky cliff and includes approximately 260 steps.

Main Villa (4 Bedrooms):

Flooded with natural light, the villa’s generous living room, which is located on the main level, is paved with handmade majolica tiles. It features comfortable sofas and armchairs with plenty of seating, a large dining table, satellite TV and French doors opening onto the terrace. The room is equipped with air conditioning and heating. On the same floor you will also find a fully-equipped kitchen featuring a dining table and all the amenities you might need during your stay.

Offering a calm atmosphere and charming views of the sea, the main level houses a bright and generous double bedroom (on request, the beds can be divided into twin beds) complete with en-suite bathroom with large fully-enclosed shower. The bedroom also features direct access to a terrace with charming views of the sea and the coastline.

On the lower level you will find a second panoramic terrace equipped with tables, chairs and comfortable deckchairs. On the same floor you will also find a double bedroom (on request, the bed can be divided into twin beds) with en-suite bathroom with shower and access to the terrace, a double bedroom with access to the terrace and en-suite bathroom with shower, and a double bedroom (on request, the bed can be divided into twin beds) with access to the terrace and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.

Dépendance (1 Bedroom):

With accommodation all on one level, the dépendance can comfortably accommodate two guests in a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the dépendance boasts a sitting room with a large window overlooking the sea, a dining table, and a small balcony. In the sitting room, you will find a comfortable single sofa bed for one additional guest (available on request at an additional cost).
