Located near the heart of Praiano, this elegant three-bedroom villa is the perfect place for a stylish break on one of the most celebrated stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. With a spectacular cliff-top setting facing Mount Vesuvius across the Bay of Naples, it is no wonder the Amalfi Coast is a must-visit destination on everyone’s bucket list. Suspended between the mountains and the sea, Praiano offers a quiet charm closely connected to nature.

Despite its mountainside setting, Praiano has always maintained a strong connection with the sea. Its ancient name likely derives from the Latin for “open sea,” as the town sits on a cape along the Amalfi Coast. The town has long been known for fishing, including the production of nets and later coral fishing. Evidence of this tradition can be seen at Marina di Praia beach, often dotted with small wooden boats and heaps of fishing cages and nets.

With its seemingly maze-like streets and staircases, Amalfi is a town best explored on foot. While Piazza Duomo and the main street host most of the town’s shops and restaurants, it is worth wandering the quieter side streets, where you will discover arched passageways, hidden gardens, and tiny piazzas. Sitting high in the hills above Amalfi, Ravello is famed for its ravishing gardens and stupendous views, considered among the best in the world by former resident Gore Vidal.

The villa is also just a few kilometres from Sorrento. The ancient town centre of Sorrento is laid out on a Roman grid of narrow lanes, now lined with exclusive restaurants serving gnocchi and shops selling lemon-themed souvenirs, yet away from the well-worn paths lie little-explored nooks and crannies. From Sorrento, the Circumvesuviana train provides easy access to the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, both destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

Villa La Roccia is 65 km from Naples Capodichino Airport and 293 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Amalfi is 7 km from the villa, Positano 9 km, Praiano 12 km, Ravello 14 km, Sorrento 24 km, Pompeii 39 km, Herculaneum 54 km, and Naples 61 km. The villa is located near the centre of Furore, where all essential services can be easily found.

The Property
Located near Praiano and overlooking the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Villa La Roccia offers a perfect hideaway in one of the most celebrated destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Set between an endless blue sky and the azure sea, the villa’s spectacular cliff-top position ensures superb panoramas. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, Villa La Roccia can accommodate up to 6 guests (plus 2 additional guests on a double sofa bed), with 3 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room) spread over two floors.

The villa boasts a garden shaded by a pergola and a portable barbecue. Please note that the garden is occasionally crossed by the owners to access their accommodations. The villa also features an exceptional swimming pool, which is shared with guests staying at the nearby villa. The villa also offers a 70-sqm terrace, partly shaded by a pergola with a bamboo roof, equipped with tables, chairs, and a hammock. Please note that the terrace is occasionally crossed by the owners to access their accommodations.

Guests also enjoy direct access to the sea via a platform built on the rocks. It can be reached from the villa by descending a 20-metre walkway carved into the cliff, which includes approximately 135 steps, offering a sense of adventure and exclusivity. The area provides a serene and private setting, with comfortable sun loungers and an outdoor shower, perfect for relaxing after a swim. Please note that access to the sea is shared with guests of the nearby villa.

On the main floor, the living room is paved with bright sea-green tiles and includes a double sofa bed for two extra guests. The dining table seats four. From the living room, French doors lead to the terrace with sea views. On the same floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen table seats six guests, and two French doors open onto the terrace. Accessed from the corridor, the bathroom on this floor features a shower. A fitness room is also available, equipped with two exercise bikes, a treadmill, and a fitness bench.

On the upper floor, the second living room is paved with handmade majolica tiles in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. French doors open to a small patio with sea views. The villa’s three bedrooms are also on the upper floor. The first bedroom has a double bed and access to a balcony with sea views through French doors. It is equipped with an air-conditioning and heating unit and features an en-suite bathroom with a fully enclosed shower and a Jacuzzi bath.

The second bedroom has a double bed and a balcony with sea views, with an en-suite bathroom featuring a fully enclosed shower. The third bedroom has two twin beds, which can be pushed together on request, and access to a balcony with sea views through French doors. It also has an en-suite bathroom with a fully enclosed shower. Both bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning and heating units. Please note that the villa can accommodate two additional guests on a double sofa bed, as mentioned.
