Tuscany is famous for its natural springs, whose waters, after having carved the rocks, flow aboveground and create natural pools in which you can bathe and restore your psychophysical balance. The villa is close to Chianciano Terme, one of the most renowned thermal bath towns in Europe, whose waters are famous for their therapeutic properties. In thirty minutes by car, you can reach San Casciano dei Bagni. Known for its mineral-rich waters, it boasts a luxurious spa center enhanced by a flourishing natural setting.

The villa is also a few kilometers from the town of Pienza, also known as “the ideal city of Renaissance”, and the medieval town of Montepulciano. Standing high atop a hill not far from Siena, Montepulciano boasts elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and breathtaking views over the wonderful Val d’Orcia. In thirty minutes by car, you can reach the medieval town of Montalcino, extremely well-known for the production of its Brunello red wine, one of the world’s most appreciated Italian wines.

The villa is also a few kilometers from the medieval town of Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

The Property
Located in the heart of Tuscany, Villa La Lavanda provides a real “home away from home” in Tuscany: an ideal, peaceful, comfortable and stylish retreat for a gathering of friends and family. Obtained from a farm building that has been masterfully restored, this magnificent villa can comfortably accommodate eighteen guests plus one additional guest in eight bedrooms (two twin rooms, five double bedrooms, and a lofted bedroom with a sofa bed, twin beds and a double bed) spread over two floors.

Located on top of a hill with a broad view over the Val d’Orcia, Villa La Lavanda is surrounded by three acres of landscaped garden. The terraces for al fresco dining are paved with stones from the piazza in Arezzo, and offer amazing views. Adjoining is an outdoor oven and barbecue. There is a heated infinity pool as well as a separate hot tub. Offering a tranquil atmosphere with charming views over the surrounding countryside, the outdoor area represents an idyllic spot for basking in the sun and relax.

Fully renovated and decorated by the owner, a famed Italian interior designer, the villa is truly exquisite, with a unique style and perfect taste in every room. The perfectly-restored original structure is furnished with charming pieces and lovingly selected elements. You will find soft, warm fabrics and textures which recall the region’s colors and hills. The villa, equipped with the best state-of-the-art facilities, ensures perfect comfort and natural Tuscan elegance throughout the premises.

The kitchen is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art room with a half arch separating it from a dining room that seats up to twenty people. The large living room boasts a fireplace and large doors leading to the enclosed patio paved in antique stone. As mentioned, the villa accommodates up to nineteen guests in eight spacious bedrooms: two twin rooms, five double bedrooms, and a lofted bedroom featuring a sofa bed, twin beds and a double bed. All bedrooms feature private bathrooms.

On the ground floor of the villa, you will find a double bedroom (king-size bed) with en-suite bathroom with shower; and a twin room (this room cannot be converted into a double bedroom) featuring en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Please note that this room, the twin room, can only be accessed from the outdoor patio. On the ground floor you will also find a laundry room and a guest bathroom. On the upper floor you will find the rest of the bedrooms.

The upper floor features: a master bedroom (king-size bed) with bathroom with shower and tub; a second master bedroom (king-size bed) featuring bathroom with shower; a double bedroom (king-size) with en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower; a double bedroom (king-size bed) with en-suite bathroom with shower; a twin room (can be a double bedroom) with en-suite bathroom with shower; finally, a loft suite with sofa bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, and a flight of steps leading to a loft area with double bed, plus twin beds on rollers.
