Located in a tranquil position among extensive Mediterranean vegetation, this elegantly restored three-bedroom villa allows its guests to remain in complete privacy while enjoying the beauty and sophistication of the Island of Capri. Guests can visit the world-famous Blue Grotto, swim in crystal-clear waters, take in the expansive panoramic views during the day, stroll around the Piazzetta at night and experience some of the world’s most famous and glamorous shopping and dining.

An impressive chunk of limestone soaring from the Tyrrhenian Sea, Capri has been attracting attention since Roman times. Capri's wilder and more remote side can be explored through its network of footpaths, but to get a sense of the place, you definitely need to get down to the sea. A gentle chug around the island reveals secret coves and sea caves, tiny scraps of beach you can't get to by land, villas hidden among folds of the cliffs, and towering rock formations looming over inky-blue depths.

Capri is home to both rural farming and fishing communities, most obviously reflected in the island's famous culinary traditions, based on simple and fresh ingredients from land and sea and overflowing with the big, bold, sunny flavors of Southern Italy. Dishes such as insalata caprese are transported to another planet when made with real buffalo mozzarella, sun-ripened tomatoes and the peppery basil that grows on the island's steep and salty terraces.

Any visit to Capri is likely to start and finish in Marina Grande. One reason to return before it's time to go home is to visit the Blue Grotto, the underwater cave discovered in 1826 by August Kopisch. There is a lot of getting in and out of boats and waiting around involved, but once inside, the iridescent blue light is very blue indeed. You can also swim into the cave from the rocks below Anacapri, but wait until after the boats have knocked off for the day: you may even find you have the place to yourself.

The Piazzetta, Capri's elegant open-air drawing room, lies at the heart of the medieval town. The square is complete with an ancient church and filled with tables from bars whose cream-jacketed waiters vie for trade among passers-by from early morning until well after nightfall. Everyone who comes to Capri passes through this square at some point, so once aperitivo hour draws near, take a ringside seat, order an Aperol Spritz, and wait for the designer-labelled parade to begin.

Surrounded by a lush garden of trees and laurels, the villa features a generous whitewashed terrace furnished with comfortable sofas and tables, perfect for lounging and dining al fresco. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the outdoor area is the perfect retreat to sunbathe or sip a cocktail while enjoying the sea breeze.

On the ground floor, the villa houses an open-plan living and dining room with whitewashed vaulted ceiling, a comfortable sofa and a large dining table. With an exquisite blend of period charm and modern comfort, the ground floor also houses a bright fully-equipped kitchen adjacent to the external courtyard complete with barbecue and large wrought iron breakfast table. On the same floor you will also find a comfortable double bedroom with French bed, bathroom with shower and access to a small outdoor courtyard.

Retention time
