Located in the heart of Positano, this elegant eight-bedroom villa is the perfect place for an elegant break on one of the most famous stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean. Villa Belvedere Positano boasts a panoramic terrace with pool and sweeping views of the town, providing the ultimate retreat on the Amalfi Coast. The Sorrentine Peninsula juts into the sea like a pointing finger, its rugged shores sprinkled with some of Italy’s most spectacular beaches, its bucolic interior molded by the limestone Monti Lattari.

The sight of Positano from a distance is breathtaking. Color is everywhere, reflecting on the tranquil sea, the silvery pebbled beach and the gleaming Majolica-domed church of Santa Maria Assunta. The houses built up from the waterside, accessible to one another via an endless array of steep stairs, boast pale sorbet colors. In summer, when the serried ranks of sunbeds fill up quickly, take a boat to explore the many small coves up and down the coast.

The center of Sorrento is laid out on a Roman grid of narrow lanes now lined with restaurants serving pasta and shops selling souvenirs.But away from the well-worn paths are little-explored nooks and crannies. Then there are traditional greengrocers and haberdashers huddled behind wooden shop fronts, the medieval palaces along Via Pietà, the magnificent courtyard of Palazzo Correale, and artisan workshops producing the same wood intarsia for which the town became famous in the 18th century.

There's a lot to be said for leaving the best until last, and for many Ravello is the jewel in the coastal crown. If Positano is the glamour-puss of the Amalfi Coast, Ravello is its refined, aristocratic cousin. Nestled high on a hill above the sea, Ravello is famous for its secluded villas, ravishing gardens, magnificent views and romantic sense of faded glory have inspired a steady stream of writers, artists and musicians since the days of the Grand Tour.

The villa is just 1,3 km from the center of Positano, where all the necessary services can be easily found.

The Property

Located in the picturesque hilltop town of Positano, Villa Belvedere Positano boasts a generous terrace and expansive panoramic views, providing the ultimate retreat in one of the most evocative corners on the Amalfi Coast. Originally the residence of local noble families, Villa Belvedere Positano has been masterfully renovated and transformed into a luxury villa with all modern comforts. This magnificent historic villa can accommodate up to sixteen guests featuring 7 + 1 double bedrooms spread over three floors.

With spectacular views of the town and the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, this elegant villa boasts generous terraces and idyllic spots for basking in the sun and enjoying the sea breeze. Offering a calm atmosphere, the villa features an exceptional swimming pool and paved poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers and deckchairs inviting guests to sit back and unwind. The outdoor area also boasts a second terrace with large dining table for al fresco dining.

The main level boasts a generous living room with comfortable sofas, a dining room, a professional kitchen and a master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. On the lower level you will find two junior bedrooms with queen-size bed sharing one bathroom with shower. The upper level houses four master bedrooms with king-size beds, each with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower, and a double bedroom with queen-size bed. Please note that this bedroom with queen-size bed does not have windows and is available on request.

The main level has direct access onto the beautiful terrace with swimming pool. The large garden spreads over 750 square meters on four spacious terraces, while the interiors have a 450-square-meter surface. As this area is perched up on steep cliffs, there are very few private pools, especially in the center of the town. The villa also features two more bathrooms, one situated next to the main entrance and one in the pool area.

The villa features seven bedrooms plus 1 extra bedroom which is available on request. Please note that the eighth bedroom, which is indeed available on request, has no windows. Please note that this extra bedroom does not have its own private or en-suite bathroom so, if requested, the guests of this extra bedroom will have to share the bathroom of another bedroom. Villa Belvedere is one of the few villas on the Amalfi Coast that can be accessed without having to climb too many steps.
